BRONZE ROD
What is a Bronze Rod?
It is an alloy obtained by adding metals such as tin, nickel, aluminum, zinc, lead and phosphorus to copper according to its content.
With the centrifugal casting production method, molten metal is poured into a steel mold that can rotate horizontally or vertically around its axis. The outside of the mold is cooled with water to ensure solidification. The method results in dense castings of consistent quality. During the casting process, any porosity present in the molten metal is localized in the inner layer, which is removed by machining.
Bronze tubes with an outer diameter of up to 1000 millimeters can be produced by centrifugal casting.
Bronzes produced by centrifugal casting are 25% more efficient than sand casting, extending the life of mechanisms and minimizing maintenance costs.
Areas of Use
It constitutes special parts of many machinery and equipment such as Bushing-Bearing manufacturing, Gear manufacturing, Mold sector. The higher the tin content, the more the working process will increase.
